Tranquil Moments

The early morning sunshine begins to linger in the garden. The familiar chirping of a house wren accompanies me as I hang the wash...
Vintage, much loved damask and linen will dance in the February breeze. Brisk in nature its assistance shall permeate the fibers leaving the fabric soft and scented.

With a little added inspiration they may transpire into lovely gifts for Valentine's and Mother's Day... perhaps bringing tranquil moments to the intended.

Have a wonderful week...

  2. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, like the smell of line-dried linens. While it's warm enough here, it is also very damp, so that at this time of year nothing will dry, even if hung out for 8 hours. A little breeze will make a difference, and then I'll be out to the line, like a shot, with my laundry basket.

  12. Your lovely post has reminded me of the wonderful ozone fresh smell of newly washed fabrics, I remember plunging my face into them after my mother had just collected them from the washing line when I was small. Thank you Susan I'm sure your textiles and lovely rosy pottery will be a hit for Valentine's!
