Grateful

When you're wishing for this...

And this is the probability after viewing the forecast for tomorrow I'll be patient and not complain about the delayed arrival of Spring.

I'm most grateful though not for the weather per say but after receiving a phone call last week (you know the kind you never want to get) from where my daughter lives, thousands of miles away, that she was in an accident at work. She has suffered a broken back and after the implant of two rods and five screws she is up and about. She can walk and though it will be a long and trying recuperation she has been blessed...
I booked a flight as soon as I could and rushed to her side for as you know that's what we Mothers do...

Thank you so much to the surgeon, the nurses, Justine and her friends for watching over her.

Delayed by a day returning home by you guessed it the weather I'm home now and hoping to return to a some what normal routine.

So I'll leave you with wishes for Spring soon to fill our hearts and homes...

  8. A scary phone call indeed! How horrible! But I'm glad to hear she is doing better. Yup, no matter their age, they are still our babies right? They just need their mamma beside them.
Sending good thoughts that she gets better fast and that spring is just around the corner for your.

  11. Oh Susan what a dreadful thing to happen! I've been away from the computer for a couple of months and I missed this post, right in your hour of need. So thankful that she is up and walking. Poor girl, but she will no doubt go from strength to strength now and she has a lovely Mum on her side. So so true that they remain our babies no matter how old they are and we worry for them. Thank goodness you were able to travel to be with her, it must have been a terrifying journey to get there thinking all sorts. Nevertheless she is on the mend....terrific news.

    Huggings to you Susan,
    Jane XOXO
