The early morning sunshine begins to linger in the garden. The familiar chirping of a house wren accompanies me as I hang the wash...
Vintage, much loved damask and linen will dance in the February breeze. Brisk in nature its assistance shall permeate the fibers leaving the fabric soft and scented.
With a little added inspiration they may transpire into lovely gifts for Valentine's and Mother's Day... perhaps bringing tranquil moments to the intended.
Have a wonderful week...
Oh I can smell the freshness. I really an.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing the rosy warmth of the china decoration too. x
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, like the smell of line-dried linens. While it's warm enough here, it is also very damp, so that at this time of year nothing will dry, even if hung out for 8 hours. A little breeze will make a difference, and then I'll be out to the line, like a shot, with my laundry basket.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images conjured up by your words, as always Susan. I agree, there is no smell better than freshly blown linen! Have a good week. Ros
ReplyDeleteI love that pinky red transfer ware - I have some at home too!
