The month of March has arrived here as a new born lamb... quietly, much like the passage of time.
The Tundra swans have returned by the hundreds to the upper Niagara River on their annual migration to the far north...
The highly vocal birdsong is filling the garden in anticipation of Spring soon to burst forth in all her glory.
Once again the earth shall awaken from its slumber inviting us to share the warmth and beauty of the sunshine, the smell of fresh turned soil and the fragrance of the blooming blossoms...
I think I'll wrap myself in a cozy quilt, pull up a chair and await the splendor...
I think I will be waiting for that splendor for awhile yet. Winter Storm Warning out for us today in my 'neck of the woods'. So I will take that cozy quilt though! ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your splendor Susan!

Susan, thank you so much for visiting my blog, it is indeed a delight to see a new visitor.
ReplyDeleteIt appears that winter is still lurking around in your backyard too, but it is wonderful to dream about the splendor to come and view images of what can be... and for those of us who have learned to accept winter for what it is, it is easy to look upon it as a gift and rare treat!
...your blog is lovely, beautiful photos and a sense of simplicity, love it... I will be visiting again. Cheers~
I think I'll pull up a chair and join you, Susan! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy March,
Zuzu
Hi Susan, I have been snuggling under a cozy quilt too! Love sleeping under quilts, the best warmth...we are back home, finally. N.xo
ReplyDeleteWe've had a sunny but cold start to March, but it's been nice to be able to get outside a little over the weekend and start some jobs on the allotment. The swan is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNow that is some chair!
ReplyDeleteWe're on the cusp of spring here, but it feels like winter again today.
I love how similar our Springs and Autumns are, and I adore the gentle colours on your pansy...it snowing again here though but very pretty sigh...Spring next week maybex

Snowflakes are drifting outside our windowpane still. I shall wait (im)patiently for the welcome arrival of Springtime!
ReplyDeleteWishing you peaceful hours Susan...

You live in such a beautiful part of the world Susan. You write so that I feel I am experiencing it right there with you. Yesterday we had snow and today it is wind. Spring is very fickle here, but I think that's why I love it. I never know from day to day what I will get.
ReplyDeletesending hugs...
Hello dear friend! Thank you for your visit! Your pictures are lovely and I'd love to visit and sit with you a while! We are patiently waiting for Spring, another surprise snowfall this morning! Maybe next week, after all Easter is just a weekend away!
