A gentle rain lingers outside, thankfully replacing the snowflakes...

The birdsong is rich, echoing from the thicket, filling the woods and captivating all who pause to listen... the promise of Spring has finally arrived.

I've been busy creating little pinkeeps and vignettes for an upcoming Quilt show at month's end...

Please come and join us at the Royal Botanical Gardens April 27th & 28th for Quilts in the Garden featuring the Halton Quilters Guild with antique quilts, vendors booths and of course wonderful handwork...

Stop by and visit Jocelyn at Stitch in the Atrium ... perhaps one of my birdie whimsies will flutter into your heart...

  1. How I would love to be able to go, but alas, it is not meant to be... sigh! Your pin keeps are precious and I am still in love with your vintage laces! Your cat seems so regal and appears to be questioning your disturbance to his/her royal slumber! Thanks again for stopping by to visit my blog and your lovely comment. Cheers~

  2. There's a lot to be said about contentment, but then again that's all that really needs to be said. :-)

Lovely blog, Susan. Thanks for visiting mine.

  3. Beautiful photos and LOVE the little stardust that falls as I scroll over your pics!

  4. Your beautiful cat is certainly contented and happy. Your pinkeeps are just charming. Glad to hear that the snow has finally disappeared and that spring is on the way.

  5. Be still my heart...your new lovelies are simply splendid! If only the Quilt Show was just down the lane...but alas, not so. Surely your handmades will find loving, forever homes ever so swiftly.
Wishing you much joy and sunshine Susan!
    Sending hugs your way...

  6. What lovely pinkeeps. I wish I could attend the show....

Isn't it wonderful to hear the birds? We're in the midst of a sleety, snowy week, but the birds were singing mightily on Sunday and I know they'll be singing again once the sun comes back out. :)

  7. Such wonderful things you are making there! Absolutely delightful :D

  8. Just such wonderful things!!! If I were closer, I would certainly be visiting the show!! We are so thankful that Spring appears to be making an appearance here in the UK at long last! Ros

  9. Hello Susan, I will be home for the quilt show...I must see these tiny bits of pure magic with my own eyes! The keeps are exquisite ! N.xo

  10. That sounds like the best kind of fun Susan. I love the beautiful vignettes you have been creating for it. SO LOVELY!!!!
I love the view from the perch that kitty has and it looks like she does too.
I do hope we both get some sunshine soon, but as bad as my part of the US needs rain, I think I will never complain whatever the weather.
    sending hugs...

  11. Thank you for your observant comments on "my Lady"....she was indeed a great find. Hope your Quilt Show goes well and you're pin keeps all fly off your table.
